Branch Elections, Branches who do not conduct elections and who has not voted in elections for two consecutive years shall not be allowed to contest the election for two years. The General Body of the Local Branches must be convened in the months of October / November / December election conducted and report sent along with the Xerox copy of the resolution and attendance sheet . For the sack of uniformity the branches will follow the state pattern in IMA year.

* Election Commission to conduct all election—an office secretary to be appointed for the same, deputed from the State Office at the time of election.
* All nomination to carry nomination fee:- President –Rs.5,000/- Secretary—Rs.3,000/- Wings Chairman- Rs.3,000/- Wings Secretary—Rs.3,000/- CWC—Regular—Rs.3,000/-.
* All Schemes election also to be conducted by the Election Commission only. This to be incorporated in the bylaws of the schemes and the state IMA BYE LAWS. The contestants and the voters will be from the respective schemes only.
* One man one post to exclude only district coordinators for schemes, Central Working Committee Regular and Head Quarters office bearers. When assuming charge in any post one should not be office bearers in any schemes / wings.
* The Vice President / Secretary become eligible to contest for President two years and after attending eight State Council Meetings after completing his term of office Branch: A member from a branch, which has not conducted General Body for more than two years, will not be eligible to contest any
post in IMA / Wings / Schemes.

Report of IMA Constitution Committee Constitution Committee Convenor Dr.V.Varadarajan said some of the amendments have not been passed in the Vellore State Council Meeting and in the Extraordinary General Body meeting; hence it is now brought for approval he said. He proposed the following amendments to the eligibility criteria for the State President to be charged to ten years as life member and seven years as State Council member and twenty State Council Meeting. The State Secretary can contest for President only after relinquishing the State office and attending 4 State Council meetings. For Vice President he should be a member of IMA for seven years, a State Council member for five years and attended twelve State council meetings. This he said is on par with the headquarters, for scheme he said the eligibility of will be followed as passed by the schemes. He said Act, Rules and regulation are there. Act is the act of the State Council passed by the constitution committee. Rules and regulation are how the act is to be implied and this can be changed by the State Council. Act he said needs the approval of the General Body. Dr.V.Varadarajan said he has categorized what are act and what are Rules which need to be passed by the General Body.

A. Should have a continuous IMA membership for 10 years.
B. Should have been a state council member for 7 years
C. Should have attended 20 State Council Meetings.
D. Should have served in the local branch as:
a) President or Hony. Secretary and
b) State Vice President for one full term (or) as a Hony. State Secretary for 3 years.
E. After the Vice-Presidentship he should have been a member of State Council Continuously for 2 years AND attended at least 8 State Council meetings.
F. After the Hony. State Secretaryship he should have been a member of State Council for 1 year and should have relinquished the Hony. State Secretaryship while filling the nomination for the State President Elect.
G. The local branch shall sent their nominations proposed at a meeting of the branch after giving due notice with an authorized copy of the resolution of the branch and enclose a certificate of eligibility of the candidates and his willingness with a nonrefundable deposit of Rs.5000/- along with the consent letter from the candidate contesting for the election of State President Elect.

* Should belong to the region (Zone) from which one contests.
* Continuous IMA Membership for 7 years.
* Should have been a state council member for 5 years.
* Should have attended 12 State Council meetings.
* Should have served as a President / Secretary of local branch.
* Should have served in the State office in any capacity at any one time or in the IMA wings.
* The local branch shall send their nominations proposed at a meeting of the branch after giving due notice along with an authorized copy of the Resolution of the branch and enclose a certificate of eligibility of the candidates and willingness along with a nonrefundable deposit of Rs.3000/ along with the consent letter from the candidates contesting the elections for vice-president.

*Continuous IMA membership for 7 years.
*Should have been a state council member for 5 years.
*Should have attended 15 state Council meetings.
*Should have served as President or Secretary of the local branch.
*The local branch shall send their nominations proposed at a meeting of the branch after giving due notice with an authorized copy of the resolution of the branch and enclose a certificate of eligibility of the candidates and his willingness with a nonrefundable deposit of Rs.3000/- along with the consent letter from the candidates contesting elections for Hony. Secretary.

*Continuous in IMA Membership for 7 years.
* Should have been a state council member for 5 years.
* Should have attended 12 State council meeting.
* The local branch shall send their nominations proposed at a meeting of the branch after giving due notice along with an authorized copy of the resolution of the branch and enclose a certificate of eligibility of the candidates and willingness along with a nonrefundable deposit of Rs.3,000/- along with the consent letter from the candidates contesting the elections for concern post.
